Although winning was on the mind of each Dreamz's player, it was not meant to be. Not being able to play regularly together had cost us a victory today.

The first major setback Dreamz received was less than 10 seconds after the game started. Guan was injury as he went in challenging for the ball. He was replaced by Eugene, whom we are very grateful could offer us his services in this match. He certainly plays well in this match. After which, the game went on and there was a shuffle in some player's positions. Due to the sudden change in positioning, Dreamz was caught offguard by the opponent's attack and almost conceded an early goal. Luckily, Joo was on his best form, saving many shot that were fired at him. It was a vintage performance by Dream’s Number 1. During the 1st half, we were constantly pressured by the opponent. Their teamwork was great and passing was precise. However, Dreamz's defence was still able to contain their attack as Quan, Keat, Wei,Kok and Colin stood to their position, clearing every dangerous ball pumped into the defensive zone by the opponent.Colin was superb in this match, as he ran tirelessly throughout the whole match closing down on the opponent's attack. Furthermore, he was also able to lead some attack that had the opponents sweating.

However, in the 35th min the opponent stunned Dreamz as their striker took a shot from outside the penalty area and slip it into the bottom left corner of the goal.
From then on, we know that the match was an uphill battle.

The 2nd half was much better. We were starting to get into the rhythm of the game as we make numerous attempts to break down the opponent's defend. Although we managed at many time to break down their defense line, their goalkeeper was in top form saving every shot that was thrown at him. After doing a great job luring the keeper out of his position, lyndon passed a great ball to me at the corner of the penalty box. I took a first time shot toward the empty ball, sadly the keeper managed to recover in time and smack the ball out for a corner. It just seems that we were lacking that bit of luck.

Although Greg was playing upfront alone, he managed to trouble the opponent's defense on numerous occasions and almost score, if not for the opponent's keeper great keeping. He was also assisted by both Lyn and Ben who made many tireless runs down the flank, trying to put crosses into the box.

The final 10 mins was a test of both team's stamina and endurance, it was end to end action, with both defense standing strong withstanding the attack thrown at them. Finally, sound of the whistle was heard and the match ended with a lucky 1-0 lost to dreamz.Although Dreamz lost the match, the game was much fun and enjoyable. Hopefully, we will get together more often for games like this.:)
