Dreamz 4 - 1 AMKSS

Desmond struck a hat-trick as Dreamz continue their fine form in 2009 with an emphatic win against AMKSS. A Desmond's treble and an excellent Lyndon's strike gave Dreamz a comfortable victory.
First half
AMKSS were under pressure from the start and almost contributed to their own demise in the early stage when their defense let Fong Guan have a fantastic opportunity to break the deadlock, but their keeper parried the ball to safety.
Dreamz continue to dominate the game and enjoyed the better chances. They took the lead in the 15 minutes when Desmond latched a through pass from Lyndon and shot low past their keeper.
AMKSS quickly regain their composure and begin to challenge Dreamz. They have a couple of good chances to level the game through set pieces. They missed a good opportunity when a corner in the 25 min was cleared off the line by Jun Wei.
The mid field link play between Dreamz player continue remains as an increasing threat to AMKSS. It is a matter of time that Dreamz doubled their lead through an excellent display of teamwork.
Colin exchanged passes with Wei Xiang (WX) and WX's back heel flick to Desmond who timed his run to perfection in staying on-side, to drill a low shot into the right corner of the net.
It was unfortunate that Dreamz lead was reduced to half when Dreamz failed to handle a long ball. A lack of communication by Quan and Joo allow the striker of AMKSS to sneak in to flip a bouncing ball passed Joo into the net.
Second half
Dreamz were awarded a penalty shortly after the restart. The referee pointed to the spot when Desmond was being brought down in the penalty box. He picked himself up and despatched his shot straight down the middle to completed his hat trick.
AMKSS remained distinctly second best. With Quan and XiangJing marshalling the defense at their tip form coupled with the authoritative presence of Keat and Colin, Dreamz didn't give the opponent much chances to test Joo.
On the half-hour, a superb pass from Colin and set up a beautiful run for Lyndon, who took the ball on the left, dribble and score a brilliant goal off the far pole.
The second half is all about Dreamz and AMKSS struggle to have any meaningful shot on target. There's a lot of activities on the left with inter-play of Daniel and Eugene come close to further extend Dream's lead.
Though there are plenty of opportunities and missed chances from either side, it wasn't enough to raise the final thrust to breach both side defence.
There was little noteworthy action in the final 20 minutes of the match, the brightest moment being Fong guan fierce shot volley from 25 yards which flew awefully wide.
